Tales from a Veterinary Nurse
There are lots of books about vets.
But this one is different.
Catnip and Tuck is about the people who ensure that the vets have clean jackets, see the right clients and generally run the surgeries: the veterinary nurses.
This collection of vignettes demonstrates the unsung work of the nurses, warts and all. From the point of view of one nurse who specialises in feline care, this book covers cats with fleas, defrosting a dead dog, runaway pets and other tales.
A very easy, quick, snappy book that can be put down easily, but pulls you back to pick up again. Straight to the point, story after story, Janet Pennington, really shows the pace at the vet hospital,, without too much personal luggage attached. Though a CAT book in essence, the last story about the aged collie is somehow hilarious,, perfectly written.
Very enjoyable. A nice glance at the life of a veterinary nurse. Heartwarming stories that are easy to read
